Build
Galaxy S2 is much thinner and lighter than Optimus 2X. Galaxy S2 is slightly wider, measuring 66.1mm than Optimus 2X which measures 63.2mm.
Screen
Optimus 2X has IPS LCD Capacitive 4 inches touchscreen which has 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Galaxy S2 has Super AMOLED Plus capacitive 4.3 inches touchscreen and has same resolution as of Optimus 2X. Both has Gorilla glass protection. Samsung has large screen but low dpi and LG has small screen bud good dpi. So both phones are nearly similar in this point.
Processor
Optimus 2X has Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with ULP GeForce GPU. Whereas Galaxy 2X has more powerful dual core processor powerd by 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and Mali-400MP GPU. Orion chipset used in Galaxy S2 offers better performance than Optimus 2X.
Memory
Optimus 2X gives you 8 GB storage whereas Galaxy S2 gives you 16/32 GB storage. Both phones storage capacity can be expanded up tp 32 GB via microSD. With Galaxy S2 you can handle more apps with it’s 1GB RAM which is double of Optimus 2X’s 512 MB RAM.
Network and Connectivity
Both phones has nearly same networks. Both has Wi-Fi hotspot, 3G, GPRS and EDGE. Galaxy S2 has USB On-the-go, Wi-Fi direct and Bluetooth v3.0+HS. But Optimus 2X has Bluetooth v2.1.
Camera
Both handsets has 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus with Geo tagging. The LG has a 1.3-megapixel secondary camera while the Samsung’s is a 2-megapixel.
Operating System
Galaxy s2 runs on Android Gingerbread OS v2.3 whereas Optimus 2x uses Android 2.2 Froyo OS which is upgradable to 2.3 Gingerbread. Samsung provides TouchWiz UI v4.0.

It is nearly same for both smartphones.

Galaxy S2 gives you some extra features that lacks in Optimus 2X. That includes four special hubs – the Reader’s Hub, the Social Hub, the Games Hub and the Music Hub. It has Swype input method which is the easiest method of texting or messaging.
